John 3:16-21

God Displayed His Love for Sinners Through the Cross (3:16)

• God loved the world by sending his only Son to save anyone who would believe in Him. (16)
  • The necessity of God’s love- “For...”
  • The proof of God’s love- “...God so loved...”
  • The object of God’s love- “...the world...

  • The act of God’s love- “...that he gave...”
  • The gift of God’s love- “...His only Son...”
  • The recipients of God’s love- “...that whoever believes in Him...”
  • The results of God’s love- “...should not perish but have eternal life.”

The Reason Jesus Came (3:17)

• God sent his Son into the world to _________ it, not condemn it.
  • Jesus did not come into a __________ world to save some and condemn others.
