Soup Kitchen

The Soup Kitchen Ministry is a service provided to the senior residents of the Calhoun Housing Authority. We deliver meals to the residents of Golden Circle and Hillhouse housing projects on Saturday mornings every 7-weeks. Volunteers are needed to prepare, package and deliver food. Specifically the following is needed:

• 10 volunteers to cook 2 lb packages of beans
• 5 volunteers to cook 24 cornbread muffins
• 10 volunteers to make 2qts of coleslaw
• 7 volunteers to buy 12 individual servings of applesauce or fruit cups
• many volunteers to package and deliver the meals

Everyone is invited to participate in this ministry opportunity. We me at the Hillhouse Community Center on Oothcalooga Street across from Calhoun football stadium at 10:30 am.
