Sunday School
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matt. 28:19-20
Relationships are what it’s all about – your relationship with God and forming relationships with each other. Sunday School plays a vital role in accomplishing this because it provides the best atmosphere for meeting people. Each of us needs godly relationships beyond the worship service experience that can only be formed in a small group.
At Riverview Baptist Church, Sunday School is our primary small group ministry. There are classes for everyone, and each class is designed for discipleship, prayer, ministry, evangelism, fellowship and worship. Striving to accomplish the following Biblical principles is our main goal for Sunday School:
Guests and new members will be right at home, we hope you can join us for this wonderful time of fellowship! Sunday School begins at 9:30 with the classes available for all ages.

- 2 Tim 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” In depth Bible study is key to a growing Christian. By learning truths from God’s Word we are challenged to become spiritually strong.
- Heb 10:24-25 “and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” Relationships with fellow Christians are vital to sustaining a Christ-like love. In Sunday School there is opportunity to become close to others while learning about how encourage one another.
- Rom 12:6 “And since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let each exercise them accordingly”. Ministry and service is what the Christian life is about and in Sunday School we are encouraged to learn how use our spiritual gifts to benefit others.
