WE LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU!
Whether you are a returning guest, or you are walking through our doors for the very first time, you can expect to be welcomed at Riverview! Our greeters will be there as you enter to help make sure that your visit with us is easy and comfortable.
It doesn't matter where you are from or what your background is - you won't be met with shame, guilt, or condemnation. Our church is made up of imperfect people with every kind of story imaginable. Regardless of what you've been through or what questions you might have about God and faith, our church is a place where you'll find the love, grace, and forgiveness Jesus offers to everyone.
We’ve put together some information that tries to briefly answer some of the questions you may have prior to visiting our church for the first time:
Atmosphere
It's important to us that you feel welcome when visiting. We hope our atmosphere will help you feel relaxed and comfortable. The music and worship are built around Biblical themes that are timeless.
Family Friendly
No matter your family dynamics, you're welcome at Riverview and we're excited for you to consider being a part of our church family! Our intent is to serve the whole family. During our worship service we have care available for infants and children. Your children will receive real spiritual training from a group of caring leaders during this time.
Music
We combine joy and reverence in musical style as an expression of our Christian worship. Our music is intentional, biblical, reverent, and joyful with a mixture of old and new hymns and choruses.
Sermon
From the pulpit you will hear sound expository preaching. The focus of each sermon is built around the point of the Biblical text being addressed. The messages are thoughtful, relevant, and they are delivered with passion and Biblical-accuracy. The preaching is approximately 45 minutes. Click here to listen to a sermon.
Biblical Teaching
We place a high priority on the preaching and teaching of God's Word. The worship service is a time for us to gather as a community to learn, be encouraged and to be challenged by God's Word. Other opportunities exist beyond the Sunday worship service where members have a chance to grow, fellowship, or otherwise be a part of a Church family that lives out their faith together.
How Do I Dress?
Respectfully casual and comfortable. The Lord focuses on the heart more than on the outward appearance, and so do we. You'll find a wide variety of dress among our congregation - from casual jeans to "Sunday best". Don’t worry about what you wear – just come expecting a great experience.
What Do I Bring?
If you have a Bible, bring it with you to church. Our Pastor uses a teaching outline for his Sunday messages, and a Bible will help you to follow along in worship and Sunday Bible Study.
When Do I Need to Arrive?
Our Bible Studies begin at 9:45 am. There are classes for all age groups and interests. Our Greeters will meet you at the door and direct you to the class areas that reflect your interests. Our Worship Service begins at 11:00 am. Come a few minutes early to allow for parking and finding your way around the campus. You may wish to allow for an additional 10 minutes if you need to place preschoolers or elementary age children into classes, as we will need to obtain child information.

Fellowship
We would love for you to stay after the service for a few minutes and let us meet you. There are greeters at most doors, and people often linger to talk and get to know each other.
Participation
If you are not a Christian, please know that you are very welcome and should feel the freedom to participate in the service to whatever degree you feel comfortable. We do not expect you to affirm or sing about things you do not believe. You are more than welcome to sit and observe. We do collect money every Sunday but only expect that members give.
